Oxford Portrait Photographer

Portrait sessions are one of my favourite parts of being a photographer. I like simple, elegant, portraits with a classic style which bring out the personality of the subjects.   Being an Oxford Portrait Photographer means that there are many amazing locations to choose including stunning historic colleges and beautiful parks and meadows.  I am delighted to do single shoots, couple and engagement shoots, and family photos.

I also love to work on indoor studio-style shoots including my Vintage Photography packages – Stardust Vintage Photography, Portrait and Headshot Sessions, Boudoir Photography, and creative photograhphy sessions.

Taking portraits is about more than just pointing a camera!  I want you to be comfortable in front of the lens, and I don’t do awkward or cheesy posing – If you feel uncomfortable, you won’t look at ease in your photographs.   I have a relaxed natural style and easy going nature and like to get your feedback and ideas throughout your session. I also love to explore your creative ideas and enjoy trying new challenges!  A big part of great photography is also about how to use lighting a way that flatters you and gets the look or style that you want.

All of my sessions include a brief pre-shoot consultation so that we can get the most out of your shoots and explore different ideas, and I will want to know all about your ideas and inspirations.  Getting to know you is going an important part of getting the best out of a portrait session. I really enjoy the collaborative creative process, and finding out about you is what helps me to find the poses and presentation that suit you.   Doing this helps me get the results you are looking for whether that is a simple headshot, a family group, or a more artistic session.
