Oxford Portrait Photographer

OXFORD PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

I am an Oxford Portrait Photographer based in the City of Dreaming Spires. Although I live in Oxford, I am always happy to travel. In fact, working in new locations and trying different styles is something that I really enjoy.

Portrait sessions are one of my favourite parts of being a photographer. I like simple, elegant, portraits with a classic style. The best portraits bring out the personality of the subjects. My style is therefore natural relaxed approach to help you feel at ease.

MY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

Taking portraits is about more than just pointing a camera!  If you feel uncomfortable, you won’t look at ease in your photographs.  Therefore, I want you to be comfortable in front of the lens, and I don’t do awkward or cheesy posing. For this reason, I keep my style relaxed and natural. I have an easy going nature and like to get your feedback and ideas throughout your session.

Exploring creative ideas is something that I love to do. I’m also always up for trying new challenges and ideas!  A big part of great photography is also about how to use lighting a way that flatters you and gets the look or style that you want.

Finding out about you is what helps me to find the poses and presentation that suit you. All of my sessions include a brief pre-shoot consultation. This is so that we can get the most out of your shoot.

Getting to know you is the important first part of getting the best out of a portrait session. I really enjoy the collaborative creative process, and exploring different ideas. Therefore, I will want to know all about your ideas and inspirations.  Doing this helps me get the results you are looking for whether that is a simple headshot, a family group, or a more artistic session.

Getting out and shooting on location is always enjoyable. I also love indoor studio-style shoots including my Vintage Photography packages – Stardust Vintage Photography, Portrait and Headshot Sessions, Boudoir Photography, and creative photography sessions.

OXFORD PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY- ON LOCATION!

Film Noir Photography

Shooting on location is always great fun. Being an Oxford Portrait Photographer means that there are many amazing locations to choose.

Oxford is known best for the University. However, there are fine examples of every major English architectural period since Saxon times in a city centre squeezed into a few streets.  This creates a labyrinth of beautiful buildings, meadows, gardens and rivers, with unexpected surprises hidden away. These qualities make Oxford one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the UK.
